Introductory Video to Module 6.

Youth and Family Perspectives.

Trauma affects children and families in dramatic ways. It changes their lives forever and shapes their worldview. In this video, youth and families share their experiences with trauma, the services and supports they have received, what has been helpful, and what is needed to improve responses to trauma. They highlight the importance of receiving peer support and becoming a peer supporter to help children and families make sense of their experiences and reactions and what strategies helped them overcome their trauma.
